Is The United States The Israel Of The Bible?

Is it possible the United States is the Israel of the Bible and the country currently calling itself Israel is Babylon? If so we would have to change our thinking a lot about Bible prophecy. The early founders of the United States called it the "New Israel" and the United States also has been the gathering place for more Jews even than the country called Israel. A.A.
